GERAKAN INDONESIA DIET KANTONG PLASTIK

We have a vision to make Indonesia as a Plastic Bag Free country by encouraging people to be wiser in using single-use plastic bags

About us

Indonesia Plastic Bag Diet Movement (GIDKP) has a vision to make Indonesia as a Plastic Bag Free country by encouraging people to be wiser in using single-use plastic bags and switch to using bags that are used repeatedly to save the environment from the dangers of plastic bags and other single use plastics.

We are the organization that encouraged the trial of “Non-Free Plastic Bags” in 2016 in 23 regions and succeeded in reducing plastic bag consumption by up to 55%. The trial was the answer to our #Pay4Plastic petition supported by more than 70,000 people on Change.org.

    #pay4plastic

The Plastic Bag Diet Campaign was initiated by Greeneration Indonesia in 2010 with a plastic bag donation pilot project (paid) from 2010-2011. This campaign aims to encourage the public to reduce the use of plastic bags as well as educate about plastic bag waste through the application of the # pay4plastic SOP. In this program, Circle K invites consumers to buy BaGoes bags for Rp. 25,000, whereas if consumers still want to use the Circle K plastic bag, the bag is sold for Rp. 100. The funds are recognized as being reused for environmental sustainability and the Clean Up Your City program.
